Composer: Paul Abraham

Operetta by Paul Abraham

Libretto by Emmerich Földes, Alfred Grünwald and Fritz Löhner-Beda

Premiere: July 14, 2018
Venue: Kongress & TheaterHaus Bad Ischl

Opened with Abraham's famous and catchy revue: A fast-paced mixture of operetta melodies, quilts and jazz sounds will take the audience on a dream trip to Hawaii and Monte Carlo. A wild and longingful pleasure with a lot of feeling and rhythm that goes into the blood: Evergreens like I have a Diwanpüppchen, You dreamlike pearl of the South Sea, A paradise at the sea beach and What has the gentleman in the jungle to do? have owed their world renown to this work.

The operetta has never been played in Bad Ischl. Staging is Thomas Enzinger, the choreography is developed by Ramesh Nair.

A revue operetta with a composition: playing, singing and dancing. Ramesh Nair (known as the Indian and Dancing Stars), Susanne Hirschler (cabaret artist and dancing star), Sieglinde Feldhofer, René Rumpold, Nina Weiß, and others.

Kongress und TheaterHaus Bad Ischl

The THEATRE HALL offers an unusual and elegant setting with professional infrastructure for conventions, presentations, galas and cultural performances.
Here, what appears to be impossible is made possible. The technical equipment of the hall knows no boundaries, but opens up new perspectives for each event. Depending on the way in which the seats are arranged, it can accomodate up to 900 guests.
The available light and sound techniques meet the highest demands. The stage with its sinkable orchestra pit keeps all possibilities open and offers a flexible use of the room. Loading lines are kept short via the back-stage. The hall itself is representatively and stylishly decorated. Steps in the second half of the hall guarantee an open view to the stage.
