Budapest Bar is coming of age this year: this special group has been together for 18 years. Every concert is different, as the unique combination of special musicians and fantastic singers makes the experience unrepeatable every time. From turn-of-the-century chansons to today's classics, they are at home in every genre, they add a bit of gypsy spice to well-known songs. Budapest Bar brings the timeless elegance of music and the sparkling joy of life to the audience.

Budapest Bar has become one of the most popular bands in Hungary with its heart-warming and uplifting gypsy music arrangements. The band owes its magical appeal to its excellent musicians and the cult singers of Hungarian rock music. Originally born on a single album, Budapest Bar has been operating with twelve singers in a completely unique line-up for 18 years – perhaps that is why it has become one of the most sought-after concert bands, a regular performer at festivals and big stages. The roots of the unique style that has become the trademark of Budapest Bar go back to the world of Budapest coffee houses in the 1920s and 30s. They reinterpret well-known and beloved songs based on gypsy music, combining them with elements of jazz, pop, rock, klezmer and many other musical genres. The original intention of the leader and founder of Budapest Bar, Róbert Farkas, was precisely to give new impetus to the genre of gypsy music in cafés, keeping alive and renewing old traditions. Thanks to the band, long-forgotten melodies have become part of the public consciousness and the culture of young people again. They have dusted off many old songs, revived forgotten ones, given new guises to well-known ones, and recently they have written many new songs. Ages, cultures, styles and age groups meet in the production – perhaps that is why the band is loved by both young and old, and has now become a multi-generational favorite.
