Aga Khan Master Musicians

The concert by the Aga Khan Master Musicians brings together five virtuoso masters of musical traditions – Wu Man (pipa), Basel Rajoub (saxophone and duclar), Feras Charestan (qanun), Yurdal Tokcan (oud) and Abbos Kosimov (percussion) – and two prominent figures of French jazz, Vincent Ségal (cello) and Vincent Peirani (accordion). Their unique dialogue is the result of a longstanding collaboration, in which tradition is seen as a beacon in the quest for shared creativity. Exploring a variety of musical paths, it nurtures a universe in which the past and the present, traditional music, classical music, and jazz coexist. Inspired by the ancient routes that linked trade and culture between Asia and the Mediterranean, these seven musicians have combined their talents to create a new kind of music in which their respective traditions enrich each other.
This concert is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 by Institut français programme.
