The management reserves the right to deny entry to anyone wearing attire deemed inappropriate for the theatre’s decorum. Tickets in such cases will not be refundable. Shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, or beachwear are not permitted. Food and drinks are not allowed in the stalls, and helmets, trolleys, or glass objects may not be brought inside.

 

* Gold Ticket *

We would like to remind you that your Gold Ticket includes a Drink Card, which can be collected upon presentation of the ticket at the "prepaid tickets" desk at the ticket office. The office on the day of the show is open from 10am to 12.30pm and from 4.00pm to 9.15pm.

Once collected, you can enjoy your drink in the "reserved and signposted" area in the Garden of the Theater open from 8pm to 9pm.

If it is not possible to consume before the show, it is possible to do so during the first break, always in the reserved area.

A new prestigious event enriches the season of the 72nd Puccini Festival: on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 9:15 p.m., the Gran Teatro all’Aperto Giacomo Puccini in Torre del Lago will host the Grand Gala of the 72nd Puccini Festival, an evening of extraordinary elegance and passion featuring Plácido Domingo and María José Siri, conducted by Maestro Marcello Rota.

Recognized as one of the greatest artists on the world’s operatic stage, Plácido Domingo – the renowned Spanish tenor, baritone, and conductor – boasts an unparalleled career, with over 139 roles performed and twelve Grammy Awards to his name. Sharing the stage with him will be the powerful and refined voice of soprano María José Siri, an acclaimed performer in the world’s leading opera houses.

The Gala promises an unforgettable musical journey, blending the charm of Spanish and Neapolitan melodies, the most famous operetta arias, and the vibrant spirit of the zarzuela — a perfect union of passion, elegance, and tradition.

Torre del Lago Festival Puccini

Torre del Lago is a town of almost 11,000 inhabitants, a frazione of the comune of Viareggio, in the province of Lucca, Tuscany,Italy, between the Lake of Massaciuccoli and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

 

The Festival Puccini, an annual opera festival which attracts around 40,000 attendees, is held in its open-air theatre, a short distance from the Villa where opera composer Giacomo Puccini lived and worked. He is buried in a small chapel inside the Villa.

 

The area of the village on the sea (Marina di Torre del Lago) is well known for being an important gay and gay-friendly summer resort of national and international appeal.
