Music for a dark night
As night falls, Mr Dowland, unable to sleep, seeks solace in his faithful instrument. The poets Orpheus and Arion awaken from the darkness and take him on a visionary reverie, a world of new sounds. Bor Zuljan, who has been exploring Dowland’s work throughout his career, takes up his ‘orpharion’ (an alternative to the lute) to accompany Clara Brunet’s spellbinding vocals.
