Vincenzo Salemme returns to the stage with a show written, directed and performed by himself. Heir to the great tradition of Neapolitan comedy and trained at the school of Eduardo De Filippo, for decades he has been one of the most beloved playwrights and actors in Italian theatre: his works combine popular irony with emotional depth, the rhythm of farce with the ability to touch authentic and universal chords.

Three brothers, three lonely lives in search of affection. Francesco, known as Cico, the eldest, has a form of high-spectrum autism: he can manage extremely complicated things but cannot tie his shoelaces, shouts “it’s snowing, it’s snowing” when he is happy, and devours mashed potatoes to calm his anxiety, forcing his brothers to keep up with his frenetic interpretations. Stefano is the most conventional: a university graduate, he works as a stockbroker and is about to marry Nora, although after a year their relationship is still only by telephone, monitored by his strict future mother-in-law. Enzo, the idle one, is an immature man who poses as a musician but carries only travel essentials in his guitar case. The story begins with Enzo returning to the family home. Their mother has died, and the notary reads the will to the three Righi brothers: in order to divide the substantial inheritance, they must stay together. But how will Stefano get married? And Enzo, who plays music on ships? Yet no one can leave Cico alone. Who will take care of their “different” brother? And will he find a way not to lose the only family he has?

In an atmosphere where forced cohabitation unleashes irresistible comedy, the sometimes cruel reality of human needs occasionally emerges: the need for peace, money and affection. It is the life of all of us.
