Karim Sulayman and Sean Shibe

Combining his Mediterranean roots, his operatic career, and his curiosity for a wide variety of repertoires, Lebanese American tenor Karim Sulayman alternates between the opera stage and cross-disciplinary projects. He engages in a dialogue across cultures and centuries, accompanied by the acoustic guitar of Sean Shibe, himself keen to explore the multiple worlds of his instrument, including contemporary music. Delving into the roots of song in its most universal expressions—whether baroque, popular, or traditional music—Broken Branches brings to light the close cultural and musical ties between East and West, echoing the personal journeys of both artists.
This concert is part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 by the Institut français programme.
